Time without my best friend gives time to focus on my Best Friend

So, it's been almost two weeks since I've seen my best friend and boyfriend, Eric. The past couple days have been pretty hard for me, especially since my other close friends (that I usually hang out with) are a dating couple. When it was those two and Eric and I, we had a blast. Now it's just awkward to be around them. Spending time around a couple makes me miss my best friend even more. Last night, Eric and I were talking and I actually started crying because I miss him so very much. But, God is an awesome God. He has given me an amazing best friend who reminds me that even though he can't be here with me, I have a Best Friend that is always here with me. Just a little while ago, I was talking to my Best Friend telling him how alone I felt. Even while I was talking to my Lord and Savior, Eric was sending me a message reminding me of the great faithfulness of my God. Last night, he sent me this verse: Isaiah 41:10- "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." What an encouragement! God is with me, and he will uphold me when I am weak.

Just a little while ago, Eric sent me these verses that were also an encouragement to me:

Jeremiah 29:11-"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Lamentations 3:22-23 - "It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him."

Psalm 34:15 - "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry."

Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Hebrews 13:5b - "For he saith, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

During this time that my best friend cannot be here with me, I know that my Best Friend will ALWAYS be with me. I know this summer will be hard (as will the next two years of college), but while God is with me, I know I will never be alone, and I will always have someone to talk to. :)
