God's Grace in Difficulties

Last Friday, a girl from school and I were in a car accident before we could head back home for Spring break. Thankfully, neither of us were seriously injured. Bethany and I are both still struggling with back and neck pain. Bethany got the worst of it, I'm afraid, because she saw the accident coming and braced for it. The whip-lash hurt her pretty badly. During this whole ordeal, however, God was extremely gracious to us on several points.

(1) We were in a LeSaber instead of her smaller car.
(2) The man who hit us did, in fact, see us at the last moment in order to swerve. If he had hit us straight on, either Bethany or I would be dead or seriously injured.
(3) The accident happened right outside of the Maranatha parking lot, so lots of people came and helped us.
(4) My brother Ben let my brother Randall borrow one of his vehicles, so we could use Randall's van in order to get back home, since Bethany's van is totalled.
(4) A couple faculty families from school supplied us with a meal for the night and a place to sleep.
(5) J.P., the one we were going to pick up, was good enough to drive Bethany and I the entire way back to Ohio. What a trooper!
(6) God brought us all three home to Ohio safely. We have so much to be truly thankful for. God indeed has been very good to those of the household of faith.

This accident has opened my eyes to see how truly great and marvelous God is to His children. Even in the rough waters, our God promises to be with us. And we can have joy and peace knowing He is holding our hands guiding us all the way. :)

Isaiah 41:13--"I, the Lord, will hold thy right hand saying unto thee, fear not; I will help thee."
Isaiah 43:2--"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

Thank you all for your prayers and support. They mean so very much to both of us girls. :)

p.s. I am not in the neck brace anymore. That was just precautionary at the E.R. to make sure we hadn't broken our necks.
